Child Actor From 'Shiloh' Died Today From Heroin After Effects
According to Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, and his manager, former child actor Black Heron, 35, from 1996 movie 'Shiloh' has died today after a long battle with heroin addiction.
More recently, Heron has appeared on episodes of NCIS: New Orleans, Criminal Minds, and Justified. He also has been involved with a film called “A Thousand Junkies” which was debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2017. In the film he acted as a heroin addict, and he also spoke out about his personal struggles as well.
After just going through treatment for his substance abuse issue, he was found unresponsive at his home today. However, when emergency responders arrived at the scene they did not find any evidence of illegal drugs. Days before, he had reportedly been sick, but the only medication that was found was prescribed for the flu.
After his girlfriend saw him on the cusp of death in his home in Crescenta, California today, paramedics tried to revive him for almost an hour with no luck. He was then pronounced dead on the scene.
The exact cause of his death is still being investigated by officials.
Funeral services are still being arranged by his family.
