Teacher Enlisted Students to Sell Prescription Drugs

A 31-year-old teacher was arrested last week in Gastonia, NC for selling, and enlisting the help of a student to sell prescription drugs.

According to KSEE24.com, the teacher was fired after an anonymous tip lead to an investigation.  The Charlotte Observer reported that the investigation revealed that the teacher supplied Clonazepam pills, a drug used to treat anxiety, to a student with instructions to sell the pills to other students and return to her with part of the money.

She was charged with intent to sell a controlled substance, promoting drug sales by a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
