Florida DEA raided four pharmacies in the state’s recent effort to curb prescription drug abuse. According to Reuters , two of the pharmacies belonged to CVS.
The large drug store chain hopes to fight this in court, and although they plan to cooperate with the DEA, they still remain committed to the customers of both stores and want to make sure they can get all the medication they need, no matter how controlled the substance is.
The other two pharmacies gave up their registrations, rather than fight the matter in court. Wouldn’t you think that a large national chain like CVS should have a strict corporate standard for their procedure with controlled substances that would prevent these accusations?
