A man is facing charges after ingesting bath slats and jumping in front of a passing vehicle. According to Utica Observer Dispatch, Jack Maine was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct/obstructing traffic and trespassing. A motorist reported that a partially clothed man jumped out in front of his SUV.
The man driving the SUV swerved to avoid hitting Maine. When police officers showed up, Maine was wearing only pajama pants, and ran from the local deputy. Maine physically resisted being cuffed until the officer was able to overpower him. He later admitted to have taken bath salts. Police across the country have seen a rise in such bath salt related incidents.
