A 24-year-old mother faces drug and child endangerment charges, after transporting 450 bags of heroin in her car, while riding with her 3-year-old and two others. According to Boston.com, the mother is facing charges of intent to distribute a Class A substance, conspiracy to violate drug laws, and wantonly and recklessly creating risk to a child.
The two men riding in the car with the mother and her child were also arrested. This occurred after a 3-month-long investigation by the Cape Cod Drug Task Force. Brewster police said, "Acting on information that the suspects may be transporting a quantity of heroin, police stopped the vehicle in question. After conducting a search, police located 450 bags of heroin."
The child was placed in the care of a family member.
