Teen Mom's Amber Portwood may be changing her tune about jail, as reality sets in while she begins her five-year sentence. According to TheStir.CafeMom.com, Amber's family says she now thinks she may have made a mistake.
Amber's brother, Shawn Portwood, told OK MAgazine his sister fears retaliation in prison from other inmates. Amber claims her panic attacks have returned, and she expresses that "she doesn't expect to live through the experience." A week ago, Amber told her hometown newspaper that she saw this prison stint as her best option for getting clean and sober. She noted that she would receive treatment in jail, as well as have the opportunity to get her GED.
Amber's brother said, "Amber was under the false impressions that prison will be easy, like it was in county jail. But she won't be with girls blowing DUIs or minor crimes, she's in with criminals and murderers. She's a marshmallow. She'll try to come off tough and the women in there will take her down."
