Ye Schiwen performance enhancing drugs

Officials at the International Olympic Committee have confirmed that Ye Schiwen passed a drug test and was not under the influence of any type of performance enhancing substance.

The fact is that Ye Schiwen is an incredible athlete and swimmer who reached the peak of her concentration and physical performance when she swam to gold in the 400-meter individual medley for China on Saturday.

In fact, she broke the former world record fairly when she knocked off five full seconds from her own personal best. According to Schiwen, she practiced a lot and that is what accounts for her Saturday win.

China’s 16 year old Ye Shiwen won the gold this past Saturday, only to subsequently deal with a barrage of speculation that she was under the influence of performance enhancing substances. That concern has certainly been put to rest by Olympic officials.
