The St. Augustine Police Department arrested a 30-year-old woman after she deposited 55 grams of marijuana along with her bank deposit. According to FirstCoastNews.com, police arrested Kimberly Kelly after she made a commercial deposit for Dunkin Donuts that also contained the marijuana.
Over two ounces of marijuana were mixed with the bank deposit. When the additional deposit was discovered, the weed was locked in the vault by bank employees.
Tellers told Kelly her deposit slip would not be available until the following day. Then, Kelly asked if she had left anything else in the bag with the deposit. The teller admitted there had been an additional item in the deposit. Kelly asked if she could get the additional item back. The bank teller informed her that she would not be able to get the other item back.
While Kelly was inside talking with the bank's manager, St. Augustine police arrived, tested the substance to make sure it was marijuana. Once the test proved the item was, in fact, marijuana, Kelly was arrested and taken to jail.
