Could you even imagine it, a democrat and a republican sitting down to smoke marijuana together?!
For some time now media pundits have joked that President Barack Obama and former two-time Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenneger smoked marijuana together in the 1970’s. My first thought was, “hmm….I have heard that before”. But, I was actually thinking of one of our other famous, young presidents, Bill Clinton.
My second thought was, “are they that close in age that it is possible that they could have smoked marijuana together in the seventies?” I know, nonsensical. Nearly as nonsensical as the idea that Obama and Schwarzenneger smoked marijuana together.
Nevertheless, when the former governor and actor was asked to discuss the worst lie he had ever read about himself, he reticently, yet ambiguously spoke of the lie concerning himself and President Obama smoking marijuana. A jokester himself, he added that because the Harvard-educated Attorney and former Junior Senator of Illinois did not share he was not good choice of a partner.
It has all been in jest between the two working friends, who first met, and with a hug no less, in March of 2009 when President Obama visited California.
More recently, during an interview with Men’s Fitness magazine, the Austrian bodybuilder purported that the funniest lie told about him was the one concerning him and President Obama smoking Marijuana together in 1979.
Maybe it is just a coincidence that Arnold made the comment recently, considering the fact that federal authorities have intervened to shut down several of California’s largest marijuana dispensaries.
With that said, also consider that the former California governor and outspoken Republican overtly smoked marijuana during the Pumping Iron documentary about bodybuilding.
Further, consider that President Obama and Arnold Schwarzennegar are working associates who attended a March 2009 White House conference together and sat next to one another during that very same conference.
Then there is Roseanne Barr, who exclaimed on the David Letterman Show that President Obama would get her marijuana only if he pried it out of her hands.
In his new biography, President Obama does not mince words about his marijuana use while he a high school student in Hawaii.
Meanwhile, Arnold has definitely revealed that he is an advocate of marijuana, as he signed a bill to make possession of an ounce or less of marijuana only an infraction and not a felony.
