Mentally Ill Son Charged With Killing Father

A fight between mentally ill son and his father resulted in the father’s death.

  According to , 30-year-old Quentin Diggs has a long history of substance abuse and mental illness.

 His parents were sleeping when he came in to ask for cigarette money.  His mother got up to get it for him when he became angry and started hitting her.

 His father jumped in and demanded the father an son duo “take it outside.”  Quentin Diggs then beat his father in the head repeatedly with a brick, killing him.

 Local police have visited the home 111 times since August 2004, and the home was included on the police’s nuisance abatement list.  Quentin Diggs was arrested for his father’s murder, and his mother is still recovering in the hospital.
