A New York man attempts to pay for his late-night burger and fries at a local Denny's with a bag of pot. According to Reuters.com, the man realized he only had a $1 bill, when he went to pay for a pick-up food order, totaling $9.91. He offered the cashier a bag of weed in exchange for his dinner.
The cashier turned the man's offer down, and then the man turned to the restaurant's customers in hopes to sell the marijuana for cash to buy his meal.
The cashier called the cops, which caused the man to run off into the woods. He has not been seen or heard from since. If caught, the man could face charges for possessing and selling marijuana. The restaurant could try to charge him with theft, although it would be hard charges to stick since he never even took a bite of the burger or fries.
The man could likely be caught soon, as one of the Denny's employees recognized the man and divulged his residence to police. Police were unable to find him at home, but their search continues.
