A Man wound up in the hospital for burns after trying to shoplift the ingredients to make crystal meth. According to CraigheadCounty.KAIT8.com, the officer was called to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter.
According to the officer's report, a 24-year-old man admitted to pouring a small amount of drain cleaner into a plastic bottle, and then placed the bottle into a plastic baggie. He also poured crystals from a cold pack in the baggie and put it all in his pocket. When the store's prevention loss expert approached him, the man began running. The drain cleaner splashed on his face, left shoulder, arm, and leg.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for chemical burns on his face and legs. The hospitalized man claimed he was using the stolen items to make meth.
