Chuck East and his family were home last week, when a truck crashed through their living room. According to, Aaron Latham, who drove the stolen truck, was naked and running from police when he crashed into the East home.

Chuck East said, "Our world was turned upside down." The family was unharmed, but their living room was demolished, making their home unlivable.

Latham was high on bath salts at the time. He first attracted police when he began running naked through a Skyway neighborhood. Blake Bullock stopped his truck to help Latham, but the man on bath salts jumped in and stole the truck. Then, he drove off, crashing into East's duplex.

Latham was taken to the hospital, where he remains recovering from serious injuries. County police have yet to charge him as he is still hospitalized, but he could face everything from grand theft auto to driving drunk. He does have a prior record, with a 2008 conviction for burning a cross in someone's yard.

The East family is trying to recover from both financial and emotional stress from this incident. It has been tough on his family as the government and bank have been reviewing their paperwork.
