Keith Urban Sobriety

Thank God Keith Urban is a country star because he has suffered more ups and downs than a dog in the bed of a pick-up truck on long and bumpy country road!

With that said, "God Bless his heart" as he is back on top!

Ladies, if you happened to see the first half of the American Idol season premiere, yesterday, you know that he has not lost his rugged good looks. And gentlemen, perhaps you noticed that Keith is a huge success with at least three multi-platinum albums under his belt. Oh, and he is married with children to none other than fellow Aussie, and Academy Award winning actress, Nicole Kidman.

Nevertheless, Keith himself has battled with drug addiction and alcoholism.

Nearly eight years ago, subsequent to marrying Nicole, Keith entered substance abuse treatment for the last time to fight his addictions to crack, cocaine, and alcohol.

Yes, that is correct; the country crooner that we have all grown to love was a crack addict. Well, that was more eight years ago.

Since Keith left rehab he has remained clean and sober, and has managed to transform his crack cocaine and alcohol drenched nightmare of a life into a Nashville dream!

Keith is riding high and living the promises, all in exchange for that pesky old crack "pipe" and "whiskey bottle".

Congratulations on your success Keith! You are a Winner!
