Jefferson County, Alabama has now joined the ranks with so many other counties across the country in the last month. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office reports a steep increase in heroin related deaths. According to CBS42.com, authorities say the cut of the heroin has changed, leading to more deaths. Officials claim that heroin is more pure these days, and users are even smoking it and snorting it at purity levels that make it "lethal."
