As many of you may already know, Demi Moore has had a rough couple of years! As she is a celebrity, and actress in her own right, her every move has been monitored, from her very public break-up with fellow actor, Ashton Kutcher, to her recurring battles with drug addiction and alcoholism.
Demi seemingly has had it all, fame since her late teens, her pick of pretty much any acting role she wanted during the 80's and certainly during the 90's; at one point, she was not only married to Bruce Willis, she was the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
Then, at the height of her career, she made a series of decisions: she divorced Bruce, packed up house, with her three daughters and moved to Idaho. She focused on a more wholesome and spiritual life.
Meanwhile, she met Ashton, they both studied Kabbalah, they fell in love and, although she was at least 15 years older than him, they married.
During this time, and although not an alcoholic and drug addict, Ashton, being younger, partied a lot, and apparently "sowed his wild oats", irrespective of his marriage to Demi.
The trouble for Demi came when she tried to keep up with her much younger husband, and lost her sense of self. After abstaining from drug use and drinking alcohol for quite some time, to better relate to Ashton, Demi started partying again, and the drinking and chaos soon followed.
Despite drinking, being the life of the party, partying, and looking amazing for her age, infidelity on Ashton's part manifested. Then drug use on Demi's part emerged.
Well, during the midst of all the Ashton-Demi chaos, Demi checked herself in rehab to deal with substance abuse, partying and personal problems, and despite more public chaos concerning her less than personal private life, apparently she reemerged sober, and has since remained so.
As divorce proceedings have finally begunn, Demi is doing her best to put her life back together and remain clean and sober, one day at a time.
Way to go Demi! Do what is in front of you, and love yourself just as your are.
