Chris Klein Sobriety

You probably remember him as that charismatic and charming football star, yet sensitive choir boy Chris "OZ" from the American Pie franchise.

From Klein's first appearance in American Pie he became an immediate star, particularly due to his acting talent, but also due to his matinee idol good looks.

He is so attractive that he won the affections and love of Katie Holmes, that other uber successful actor, clothing designer, mother of Suri, and one-time wife of Tom Cruise.

Around the time that Klein and Holmes split, Klein's star began to fade. Soon after, he picked up the bottle…the bottle of alcohol that is. Apparently Klein picked up several bottles along the way, as he also managed to acquire two driving under the influence charges before he eventually got his act together and checked into substance abuse rehabilitation.

With that said, since 2010 Klein has been clean and sober! He publicly acknowledges that he is an alcoholic, "I would have died….It nearly killed me."

Today Klein is at the top of his craft once again.

Last year he starred in American Pie: Reunion and is currently fielding offers for upcoming projects. Actually, he recently signed up for a FOX project. Look for him on the small screen.

Congratulations Chris! You are doing great! One day at a time.

All you newly sober people out there, it's time to put the drugs and alcohol away, for good, and watch the pieces of your life come back together, SPLENDIDLY! I promise!!
