Buzz Aldrin Sobriety

Every child at some point or another imagined traveling to moon. Whether you were a boy or a girl, traveling to the moon seemed intriguing.

To be honest, there are adults who are willing to pay millions of dollars for a seat in a rocket.

Meanwhile, there are other independently wealthy individuals who have established companies to provide the option of traveling to the moon in the foreseeable future.

With that said,Buzz Aldrin did it! Yes, he is that NASA trained astronaut that traveled to the moon. Most recently, he appeared on Dancing With The Stars.

Due to his boyish good lucks, obvious intellect, charm, and the mere fact that he traveled to the moon, he became an immediate star, tantamount to a celebrity.

Aldrin reached the pinnacle of fortune and notoriety, and yet he was so depressed, clinically so.

In fact, Aldrin returned from the moon, only to immerse himself in alcohol, as he was unable to escape his depression and the disrepair of his marriage.

After marrying again, and unable to make it work, Aldrin sought treatment for his depression, learned that he was an alcoholic and sought treatment for that as well.

Today, Aldrin is happily married, for the third and last time, and is more than 30 years sober, "recovery is a never-ending process."

Way to go Buzz! Here's to the the next 30 years.
