angelina jolie addiction and sobriety

What are the odds that a once self-admitted addict and alcoholic would morph into a stunningly beautiful, sober and perhaps the most famous, not to mention the highest paid female movie star today?!

Well, ask Angelina Jolie because she did it!

Before all that awards, accolades and worldwide recognition, she was a drug addict.

In fact, in an interview she was quoted as saying, “…..before age 20 I had tried every drug imaginable, including heroin”.

More recently, she explained to 60 minutes, “I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things."

Today, not only is she a world famous Academy Award winning actress, model and spokes-model, she is also a mother of six, a respected and sought after speaker and humanitarian and a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations. Recently, Jolie became engaged to her longtime love and the father of her six children Brad Pitt.

Well, if this is what happens when you live life on life’s terms I am sure everyone will say “bring it on”.
