Ikea has entered the beverage industry in a big way. Not only has IKEA developed its own brand of beer and lager, IKEA is making the alcoholic beverages available at IKEA cafeterias in all its stores throughout the United Kingdom.

Perhaps IKEA will be applying for alcohol beverage licenses throughout the United States eventually!! We would probably find that a lot more men will be willing to go shopping with their wives.

I never imagined the day that we would discover that IKEA , the home furnishing store, would someday sell more than tables, sofas, and garden furniture. Not only is IKEA selling produce and an assortment of other goodies, they are indeed, as mentioned above, selling dark lager beer, specifically, Ol Mark Lager.

Each bottle is affixed with the company’s signature and legendary blue and yellow trademark logo.

According to reviews throughout the web, patrons have described the lager as “good”……”malt-like”……..”tasty”……and surprisingly, “sweet”.

Customers may purchase a bottle, approximately twelve ounces, for $2.75, or 1.75 pounds in British or English currency.

IKEA also serves spiced snaps as well as an assortment of other non-alcoholic beverages, not to mention food. The chain offers a full scale food menu and sells an assortment of produce and grocery items as well.
