Fox News recently divulged that Tyrann Mathieu has entered rehab for substance abuse addiction.
The twenty year old division one star university football player, otherwise known as “Honey Badger”, released a statement through his adoptive father, Tyrone Mathieu, that his main focus is on investing in his health in an effort to reemerge and play great football.
Honey Badger, who will be eligible for the National Football League draft in one year, was a star cornerback for Louisiana State University Tigers football team until he was recently dismissed from the team for using drugs.
According to the Louisiana State University website, not only has Honey Badger, who was once a Heisman trophy finalist, been released from the Tigers, he has also withdrawn from the university.

Honey Badger entered the Right Step Recovery Center, a drug rehabilitation center in Houston, Texas.
Although Mathieu’s has expressed interest in returning to the Tigers for the 2013, he remains committed to completing treatment before he returns to football.
John Lucas, a former basketball player for the National Basketball Association, whose own career was eclipsed due to drug addiction, is Honey Badger’s drug counselor at Right Step.
